spiritualized songs are about love, drugs, or jesus, and often all three. at their best they are blissful, bluesy drifts through some sort of light. i never had a spacemen 3 album, but spiritualized began as everyone but sonic boom from that group, and i have to believe they continued expanding the spacemen 3 sound. "walking with jesus" doesn't feel out of place on the live at albert hall album. this might be music to take drugs to, but it transcends that to become a nearly religious experience. i think that's the goal.
