thoughts on going
am i the only one who gets the irony in using Green Day's "Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" when running a photo or video montage of memories or the recently deceased? it's a sad song, and the chorus says "I hope you had the time of your life", but the title is "Good Riddance": it's a bitter, ironic song. it's sarcasm. i'm glad you're gone. using it for a montage of people we're supposed to miss is up there with Ronald Reagan singing "Born in the U.S.A." i think most people who use this song in a montage simply don't get it. they're not paying attention.
